Functional Beverage Certified
The functional beverage certification for the fastest growing set in the cold case. Six modules on the category, the ingredient families, and the claim rules, for the distributor reps, supplier reps, and retail staff who have to answer for all of it on the floor.
Three roles, one vocabulary.
The science, the vocabulary, and the regulatory rules are the same across all three roles. Today each one is learning them from a different sell sheet.
Pitching functional brands into grocery, natural, supplement, and on-premise accounts that have never carried the set.
Representing a functional portfolio in market, against the rest of the shelf it has to sit on.
Grocery, natural foods, beverage alcohol, wellness, and cafe, where the questions come from shoppers holding two cans.
What you will be able to do.
Define the category and name the eight ingredient families inside it.
Read a label by milligram dose rather than by marketing claim, and say why a proprietary blend total is a red flag.
Set a cold case by occasion and outcome, and place functional pours on a menu.
Stay on the right side of the structure-function line under FDA and FTC rules, in every channel.
Six modules and a certification final.
Why this one is worth carrying.
Global functional beverage sales are projected to clear two hundred billion dollars by 2027 on industry forecasts from Grand View Research and similar trackers. Coconut water sits next to kombucha, next to mushroom coffee, next to a CBD sparkling water, next to a prebiotic soda. Shoppers stopped buying beverages and started buying outcomes.
Most trade training is written from one tier and reads that way. A supplier deck teaches you the brand. A distributor program teaches you the book. Neither tells a retail buyer why the set should exist.
The course is written by Mathew Benoit and issued by Learn Brands of Denver, Colorado. Every example, scenario and exam question comes from real conversations on the floor and in the trade. Pass the final and you hold a verifiable digital badge with a unique ID, a downloadable certificate for HR records, and access to refreshes for as long as the federal and state rules keep moving.

How long does it take?
Most people finish in thirty five to forty five minutes. It is self paced, so you can stop and resume whenever. Progress saves automatically.
Do I need experience in the trade?
No. Module one starts at what the category is. If you already sell it, modules five and six are the ones that will earn their time.
What is the exam like?
Thirty questions drawn from every module, twenty four multiple choice and six true or false. Many are scenario based and ask you to pick the response that fits a real trade or shopper conversation. Seventy five percent passes.
What if I do not pass the first time?
You can review the relevant module and retake it. Each module also has its own knowledge check at seventy five percent before you advance.
Can I buy for my whole team?
Yes. Bulk pricing starts at five seats and runs to two hundred and fifty and up, with the per seat price falling at each tier.
Forty five minutes, or the same question every shift.
The set is going into accounts whether the people selling it know the category or not.
